Knowing that women are special, brings us into this world, fills us with love...

Xiamen Gootai Power Technology Co., LTD. Wish you a happy Women's Day!

It is a very important holiday for women, so it is necessary to know its origins. Let's take a look:

From the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 19th century, this historical period, the social economy and the way people work have been greatly changed. However, one of the biggest problems is that many women are exploited and there are no laws to protect them.
On March 8, 1857, women working in New York's textile industry, known in English as "garment workers," organized a strike. They fought for fairer wages and more humane working conditions. However, when they made more noise, police arrested them.
Two years later, protesters formed the first labor union to fight for their rights.
The slogan they used was "Bread and roses". Because bread stands for economic security and roses for a better quality of life.
National Women's Day was celebrated throughout the United States on February 28, 1909. The date chosen was the last Sunday in February.

New Zealand became the first country to allow women to vote in 1893
Denmark has proposed an international Women's Day
In 1910, the nations of the world held an international conference in Copenhagen. The conference was attended by hundreds of participants from 17 countries. One of the movers was Clara Zetkin.
International Women's Day was first observed in 1911 in several countries in Europe and the United States. The date was March 19th.

Key dates:
A terrible tragedy occurred on March 25, 1911. More than 100 textile workers, mainly immigrant women from Eastern Europe and Italy, died in a fire at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory in New York. A total of 123 workers and 23 men died. The number of injured is 70. The oldest victim was 43, the youngest 14. This prompted the women to continue their struggle.
The women's rights movement during the Russian Revolution of 1917 was also important.
When the Russian monarchy fell, large numbers of women went on strike to demand better living conditions. As a result, the provisional government granted women the right to vote on Either February 23 (Jewish calendar) or March 8 (Gregorian calendar) 1917.
But it wasn't until after World War II that more countries joined in and began to observe Women's Day. In 1975, the United Nations first celebrated International Women's Day on March 8.
Today, the struggle to eliminate gender-based violence and achieve gender equality continues...
